Researchers confirm improved theory of atomic nucleus by measuring nuclear radii

Physicists have performed laser spectroscopy on cadmium isotopes to confirm an improved model of the atomic nucleus. It has been developed to describe the exceptional behaviour of the radii of calcium isotopes.
